North Star Adventures Review

Choosing North Star Adventures for our tour was the one of the best decisions we’ve made for this trip.

Joe (the owner), Big D, and the rest of the crew were very nice.  They were very professional and quick to respond to our inquiries.

Joe was very informative.  He taught us how to hunt for the Aurora Borealis (higher chance if you see at least 5 stars in one area).  He helped us set up our camera.  Apparently, the normal settings won’t give you high-quality photos.  When he learned that we will be going to Bullocks’ Bistro, he recommended his favorite.  He also did his best to connect with his clients by speaking their dialect.  I wonder how many languages he is familiar with.

Our tour guides made sure that we got the best experience possible.  Excellent customer service!  They really did their best to hunt the Aurora for us.  In every tour, they provided a cup of hot chocolate and maple cookies.  They would always remind us that we can warm up in the van.  They also provided free photos for each tour.

What struck us most are their professionalism and the quality of their customer service.  They were always on time when picking us up.  So when they were 30 minutes late on the second night of our Aurora Hunting Tour, I called their office to make sure that we were not left behind.  I had no choice because it was our last chance to see the Northern Lights.  When we were finally picked up, Joe said that they will reimburse us 25% of that night’s fee.  He apologized for the delay because there was a mix-up in their schedule. Actually, we didn’t mind the delay as long as we saw the Northern Lights or if the tour was extended for 30 mins.  The following day, we received an email from North Star Adventures and we received the $50 reimbursement.  Now that’s what I call customer service! 🙂
