Rides in Universal Studios Orlando:

1.  Transformers

Ave. Wait Time: Around 45 mins. but you can distract yourself by the Transformers artifacts inside the waiting area.

Mr. C and I liked this exciting 3D ride!  We rode a cart that moved along an indoor track.  The graphics were incredibly realistic that we didn’t know if we were facing the screen or an actual production set.  I think that’s the closest experience we can get in being part of the Transformers.  Now, I know what it feels like to be Sam Witwicky – tiny and always being thrown around!  visiting universal studios orlando transformers

2.  Amazing Adventures of Spider-man

It really is AMAZING!  The inside queue is a remarkable replica of the Daily Bugle.  Like Transformers, it is an indoor 3D (but feels like 4D) track-based motion ride.  Its graphics and special effects are impressive!  If you’re a Spiderman fan, you’ll surely enjoy this ride.

3.  Revenge of the Mummy

INTENSE!!  First, I would like to establish that I am one of the most fainthearted person when it comes to rollercoasters.  I don’t like riding them because I’m terrified of heights and fast speed.

We lined up for this ride because I had a naive belief that all indoor rides are ‘safe’ to ride.  NOPE!  These were my thoughts while we were on this ride: “Ahhh!! I’m going to die!!! Please stop this ride!! Oh no, we’re going to faaalllll!!”visiting universal studios orlando Revenge of the MummyThe ride started out to be very cool with big flames and rising mummies.  Then, the real rollercaster ride happened.   There were rapid plunges, sharp twists and turns, backward motions, and accelerated uphills.  It was gut-wrenching!visiting universal studios orlando Revenge of the MummyThe ride duration is only 2 mins but it felt like FOREVER.  It speeds up to 45 mph or 72 kph.

4.  Men in Black

If you like shooter-style games like we do, you will definitely enjoy this ride!  We had to watch out for aliens and shoot them with our laser guns.  It was also fun because we competed with the other team for the top score.  It was not easy, though, because the ride kept on changing directions.  At one point, we were spinning so fast that I had to close my eyes!

I love the decorations in the waiting area!  It really felt like we were in MIB’s headquarters.

5.  Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

We enjoyed this 3D ride because we got to be Gru’s minions and experience the ride in a minion’s POV.  It has one of the longest wait times (approx. 2 hrs) because of its popularity with the kids.

6.  The Simpsons Ride

This simulation ride was fun and exciting.  There were lots of flying and diving simulations.  What we didn’t like about this ride were the intense graphics that we made us so dizzy.

7.  Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

Sorry, no review.  I’ll only consider riding this when this post hits a million likes. visiting universal studios orlando hollywood rip ride rockit

Shows in Universal Studios Orlando:

1.  Terminator 2

The start of the show felt like an actual tech demonstration.  The actors also did a “super” job.  The effects were astonishing!  It had a nice integration between 3D and live acting.  At some times, we watched the Terminator from the 3D screen and then, out of nowhere, an actual actor comes out to the stage.

*Sadly, we weren’t allowed to take pictures but I highly recommend watching this show!

2.  Fear Factor Live

Being fans of the show, we really enjoyed watching the stunts live!  It was complete with insects, scorpions, spiders, blended gross stuff to chug and car stunts.  The participants were brave park goers that auditioned an hour prior to the show.

3.  Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show

We found the show entertaining because the hosts were hilarious.  We got a little disappointed though because we expected to see an actual makeup demonstration.   visiting universal studios orlando horror make-up show
