New York is a great city to visit. You could spend days exploring the city, its museums and attractions. When it comes to food, any craving could be satisfied because of the immense variety. When we visited New York, we did everything we could in our itinerary and we included something different – finding luxury and glamour in Manhattan. Using our SPG points, we stayed at the St. Regis New York hotel.

It’s not in the usual tourist NYC handbook but if you want to experience more than the conventional New York itinerary, consider spending a night at one of its finest, luxury hotels. It might not be what one would expect in a New York trip but the first-class experience of staying at the St. Regis is definitely one of the highlights of our vacation!
Upgraded Stay at the Specialty Suite
From our experience in staying at different hotels, St. Regis New York is still one of the most lavish and extravagant hotel. The hotel is fully decorated in gold, vintage ornaments and chandeliers.
We had a personal butler who welcomed us as we arrived on our floor and gave us a tour of the beautiful suite.
The decorations and amenities were exquisite! It had a high ceiling and a sophisticated, rich red theme. It had spacious living room and bedroom, both decorated with crystal chandeliers.
The most amazing part of our suite (and my favorite) is its technology. It has a central remote that controls the suite’s temperature, privacy options, lighting (day, night, movie modes), and electronic shades and drapes.

If we get to visit again, I wishfully suggested to Mr. C that we try one of their Designer Suites. If you have a big budget and interested in Designer Suites, you must check out their Dior Suite, Tiffany Suite, and Bentley Suite! Although, you must bear in mind that these come with high prices.
