Why We Convert Our SPG Hotel Points to Aeroplan Miles
This promo is greatly beneficial for us since we use our hotel points from SPG to fund most of our flights. Even before this promo, we regularly convert some of our SPG points to Aeroplan miles. It’s the perfect balance for us who love to travel – SPG points for FREE hotel accommodations during our vacations and Aeroplan miles (converted from SPG points) to buy our flights.
SPG loyalty points and Aeroplan miles has a 1:1 ratio. We like converting our SPG hotel points to Aeroplan miles because aside from free flights (or at least minimal fees), we get additional 5,000 bonus miles for every 20,000 SPG hotel points converted.
How We’ll Get a Total of 60,000 Aeroplan Miles
We’re going to take advantage of this promo by converting 40,000 SPG hotel points.
