Hey chocolate lovers and sweet tooths!  We found the ULTIMATE chocolate desserts store in Unionville, Ontario.

Old Firehall Confectionery makes old fashioned, handmade chocolates and sweets.

As soon as we entered the store, we were greeted by candied apples, truffles, ice cream, and piles of candies.♥  For anyone with a sweet tooth, this ultimate chocolate desserts store would certainly feel like your favorite holiday in a store.

Or maybe this one?  It’s so hard to choose!  I love Bailey’s Flavor but I’m also a chocolate/praline/hazelnut fanatic.

Tempting as it may be to buy one of each, we decided to buy its Chocolate Banana Loaf and Hot Chocolate.

Chocolate Banana Loaf

Old Firehall Confectionery’s banana loaf is very fresh, soft and moist.  In between the toppings and the banana bread is a thin layer of sticky chocolate syrup.  Top that with loads of premium-quality chocolate crumbs and caramel drizzle.  Yummm!!!♥

At first, we only bought a cup of hot milk chocolate.  It was surprisingly very good given our high expectations!  It was so delicious that we had to order another one.  This time, a cup of hot dark chocolate.

Its tagline “World’s Best Hot Chocolate” might really be true.

This is one of the best (if not the best) hot chocolate we have ever drank.  It really does taste like there’s a melted chocolate bar in every cup!♥  It has a very rich chocolate flavor.  Although both flavors are perfectly delicious, we prefer the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.  The milk chocolate is creamier and sweeter while the dark chocolate has a roasted cacao taste.

*Update: This type of hot chocolate is seasonal.  We returned this summer and they changed their hot chocolate ingredients (and machine).  We were really disappointed because the quality is not the same as the one we had last winter.  They mentioned that the hot chocolate machine they used last winter is not suitable for the summer humidity.
