Being a kid at heart, I have always kept a bucketlist. I’m looking forward to the days that I’d be able to experience them and cross them off. Luckily for me, I’ve already crossed off some items.

1. See the Northern Lights
It has always been my dream to see the Northern Lights. I consider myself lucky for witnessing it in two different destinations (Yellowknife, Canada and on our flight Iceland), but I still haven’t gotten enough of. I don’t think I will ever get enough of it!
2. Snow
You read it right! Growing up in a tropical country, it’s common to dream of seeing the snow and having a white Christmas. We only experience it through movies. I remember my first time of snow, I was in Korea with my friends. We were so crazy happy that we were literally jumping up and down and catching all the snowflakes we can get with our hands and faces. LOL Now that we’ve moved to Canada, it’s an endless supply of snow!
3. Take a trip to Bahamas
Out of all the beach vacations we’ve had, Bahamas has the best water I have seen so far! It’s clear turquoise waters is perfect for snorkeling.
4. Go skiing and snowboarding
After writing this in my bucketlist, I have only tried skiing and snowboarding once. It’s definitely harder than I expected and I have to gather my courage to try it again!
5. Go to Iceland
I think Iceland should be in everyone’s bucketlist. The beauty of nature in Iceland is beyond comparison!
6. Ride a snowmobile
It’s so much fun!! You have to try it at least once! 🙂
7. Dogsledding
I took that picture above and that was my POV ♥
8. Travel to Finland and go reindeer sledding
9. Go skydiving – Never mind, I love life too much!
9. Ride a submarine
10. Fly First Class
Thanks to Mr. C, I was able to experience flying in first class! In one of my solo international flights, he booked me a first class ticket to ease the stress of a long-haul flight.
11. Eurotrip – London, Italy, Amsterdam, Belgium, Portugal
After writing this in my bucketlist, we traveled to Amsterdam, Belgium, and Portugal. I’m still waiting for our London and Italy trips before I could cross this off! 🙂
12. Go on a cruise
13. Malaysia and Thailand (Spa)
14. Watch a Lantern Festival
15. Dine at any Michelin star restaurant of Chef Ramsay and meet him
16. Spontaneously book a flight
The thrill of spontaneously booking a flight is addictive! It all started when we decided to book a flight to Yellowknife just to see the Northern Lights.
17. Learn to swim in the beach without goggles and lifevest
There’s always a first time, right? This one was crossed out in Bahamas! 🙂 It felt so liberating when we were able to snorkel without a lifevest.
18. Fly on a helicopter
19. Fly an ultralight
20. Witness a meteor shower
This one’s a big adventure complete with the pick-up truck, blanket, and pillows!
21. Swimming with sharks
I didn’t think I would be including “swimming with the sharks” in my bucketlist but, guess what, we did it!
22. Learn a third language (maybe French)
23. Start a charity
24. Start a business
25. Getting featured in TV or magazine
26. Getting asked for an ID at age 40
27. Being part of Harry Potter’s world and drinking that BUTTERBEER
I didn’t know that it was remotely possible until I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando. ♥
From time to time, new items get added to my list. I love that my bucketlist inspires me to do more. It also keeps me dreaming which is a good thing, right?
I love this — especially the way that you are marking off your accomplishments. My favorite is #22. You’ve inspired me to sit down and to create my own bucket list.
Thanks Kara! Share with us your bucket list once you’re ready. 🙂
I love your blog Jen! My husband and I are doing something similar, we have been travelling for 3 years non-stop now, we afford it by working online, we have no home, we just stay in airbnbs and hotels! I will be launching my own blog soon about how to make money while travelling where I will be sharing all my hacks to travel for cheap! Thanks to you! You inspired me!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Melina! You have no idea how you just made my day! 🙂 I would love to check your website. I need to read those tips! 😉 Goodluck and cheers to more travels!
